Luther Burbank Park on Mercer Island

We're planning a day of fun in the sun. This will be a great time whether you're a senior member or a new-comer who wants to see what BEWET is all about. We'll have experienced white water guides and sea kayaking trip leaders to answer questions and help you DEMO THE GEAR! Fully equipped paddle rafts, inflatable white water kayaks, and sea kayaks will be out on the water for everyone to try. There will also be contests and races. Who can flip a raft the fastest? Who's the kayak rolling king? All ages and skill levels welcome. The public swim beach is close by for the little ones too.

All you Rafters out there, think you can hold your own in a sea kayak?

All you kayakers, ever wonder what it's like to paddle a raft or guide a crew?

The grill will be lit at about 5:00 pm for a pot-luck picnic so bring your summer time favorites and replenish some of those calories burned in the water.
