Weeknight Paddles
Do feel the overwhelming need to hop in your boat during the week (especially on nice days)? If you can't go 5 days without getting out there and could use another excuse for some exercise, we've got plenty of opportunities.
Every week, the BEWET Sea Kayak club offers two opportunities to come out and meet the group. We tour the waters around Central-Puget Sound from Discovery Park to Redondo, as well as the fresh waters of Lake Union, Lake Washington, and Lake Sammamish. There are currently paddles every Monday (led by Dave Carlson) & Wednesday night (led by Mark Greengo).

Monday is fast paced, often with Sound crossings and can sometimes get a bit exciting despite its short length. The Wednesday Night (Pizza) Paddle is still fast-passed but usually more appropriate for new group members, and you'll be educated on the best pizza places in the area as a bonus. Want more information? Here's a link to Mark's Wednesday Night Highlights!
We do hope to begin offering weeknight paddles in the North Sound (Everett area) and that will hopefully be coming soon (if this interests you, please let us know, This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ).
These weeknight paddles run all year long despite the weather and conditions, with few exceptions. Both nights start at 4:30pm (boats in the water) and trip locations are posted 1-3 days prior at our Yahoo Group site.
The following Google map has been updated with some of the weeknight paddles taken previously. This map is a handy tool to show where we go, how often, and can be used to find the posted launch sites. Red markers are Monday nights and blue are Wednesday nights. Remember to join the Yahoo site to find out where we are going next.
