2012 Informed Passenger and Guide Training

Print

Our 2012 rafting season is just around the corner! It kicks off with the "Informed Passenger and Guide Training" Program's information session on Sunday, March 4th 2pm, in Building 2-22, Room 13D1.

The information session will cover:

  • BEWET club history
  • Guide requirements, responsibilities and expectations
  • Gear requirements and basic familiarization
  • Classroom session dates and topics
  • Pool session and boat familiarization dates

Informed passengers are those who complete the classroom training and pool practice session but do not participate in on-river guide training.

Guide trainees complete the classroom training, pool practice session, and on-river training.

Classroom and pool training sessions provide you with the skiils and knowledge to participate in difficult rivers (Class IV+). On-river training teaches hands-on boat navigation with time on the guide stick and river reading skills.

Current BEWET membership required.

For more information, see the BEWET Guide Training and Informed Passenger Program Overview. Share the flyer with your friends or post in your building.

Fun from the past...
