BEWET would not exist without the volunteers who serve as Board Members or those who step up to keep the club running with various Chair Positions. These are the fearless leaders who take on those roles!

BEWET Board Members

President

Nick joined BEWET in 2019 and became a guide in 2022. Constantly looking for people to go kayaking with, he joined BEWET to build out a network of trustworthy boating partners and fine tune his river safety skills. He always has a smile on his face and is ready to help develop the future of the club!

Vice President

Chris Convis has been bringing his energy towith BEWET for several years! He often serves as a trip lead, provides many resources, and has been on the Board in the past!

Treasurer

Evan is in his first year of being a board member, but is no stranger to the club. He is already ready to raise spirits with an aptly timed joke.

Secretary

Amanda is new to BEWET but decided that its awesome enough that she is now on the Board! We are excited to see what the future means with Amanda helping to run the show.

BEWET Chair Positions

  • Organizes periodic work parties at the clubhouse (aka. club garage) and ensures equipment is inventoried and updated/repaired as needed. This includes the club truck.

    Nathan Chapdelaine

  • Organize a meeting in January with all who are interested in multi-day rafting trips for the year. Coordinates permit lottery submission for permitted multi-day river.

    Chris Convis

  • Updates and maintains club first aid equipment. Organizes first aid training classes and coordinates with membership chair on first aid certification status of guides.

  • Responsible for approving the Guide Training Curriculum and coordinating training on river trips.

  • Answer questions about membership and maintains status of active members.

    AJ Alex

  • Coordinates pro deals with guides. Yes, rated guides can get access to prodeals!

    Nick Brunner

  • Coordinates with Trip Leaders about certain rivers that require day trip permits.

  • Manage club social media and communications, organize club events. Can be more than one person!
